Today, Earthlife Africa Johannesburg joined hands with our community partners – hosted warmly by the Mulambwane Women’s League – to deliver and assemble solar cookers to families in Tshikuwi Village, Venda. This milestone marks a bright step toward grassroots climate resilience, women’s empowerment, and genuine community-led climate action.
Hands-on training ensures the technology is owned and understood locally.
Clean Energy That Changes Lives
Each solar cooker will help reduce deforestation, cut carbon emissions, and protect women and girls from long, dangerous trips to collect firewood. The result? Safer communities, cleaner air, and more time for education, work, and wellbeing.
Community members didn’t just receive cookers – they also learned to assemble, use, and maintain them. This ensures that clean energy isn’t a donation; it’s a tool the community fully understands and controls.
