Comrades from community based organizations directly affected by the air pollution emissions from Sasol’s plant in Sasolburg sending out strong messages to Sasol at the protest march, DEMANDING that Sasol withdraw it’s application to be exempt from the minimum emission standards (MES) of the Air Quality Act.
Approval of Sasol’s application will create a presidency that will allow other polluters to apply for exemption from the emission standards. How long are South Africans going to sit by and let polluters such as Sasol to keep degrading our environment? Stand up! Unite! And fight for a pollution free future!
