Sustainable Energy Eco Justice and Advocacy organisation seeks to appoint: The Energy Policy Officer.

The Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Project (SECCP), an entity of Earthlife Africa, seeks to appoint The Energy Policy Officer who will be responsible for engaging in government policy on fossil fuels (with a strong focus on coal), nuclear power, renewable energy, electricity tariffs, energy procurement, and climate change policy (mitigation and adaptation). This will entail research, advocacy, media work, working on environmental impact assessments, and some education. Please download a full pdf job advert here.

Must have experience and knowledge of energy and climate change policy, sustainable development, and have a passion for advocacy, and must be able to engage the media in written and verbal formats.

The post is based in Johannesburg.
